10 January 2008, Singapore - Experience a truly traditional Chinese New Year at VivoCity with a host of exciting programmes brought in from China for that special festive spirit.
The season kicks off on 11 January 2008 as award-winning performance troupes from Chongqing, Fujian, Hangzhou, Henan and Shanxi perform at the VivoCity Central Court. Shoppers will be treated to daily performances of amazing acrobatics, dance and music twice a day on weekdays and thrice on weekends. (see Annex 1 for Performance schedule)
Shoppers can look forward to intricate Chinese art forms like thread art, bean art, miniature carvings, Chinese paintings and silhouette cuttings at the Chinese Arts and Craft Fair also at Central Court and North Court. The artists will be selling these unique gifts from 11 January 2008 till 26 February 2008. (see Annex 2 for list of stores)
