18 August 2008, Singapore - VivoCity brings you the spirit of Mid-Autumn Festival this year through a record-breaking Lantern Dance event and a Mid-Autumn Fair filled with a wide selection of delectable mooncakes painstakingly prepared by culinary masters around the town. Ever wanted to set a record? Here’s your chance! Join the crowd as they throng the VivoCity Amphitheatre for Singapore’s Largest Lantern Dance, which will be documented in the Singapore Book of Records as “The Most Number of People Doing a Dance with Lanterns”. VivoCity is aiming to break the record from last year, when a total of 968 people with lanterns in hand, turned up at VivoCity’s Sky Park to form the longest lantern procession in Singapore. Not only do you get to participate in this festival of reunion, you stand to walk away with goodie bags and attractive prizes! Interested shoppers can register at the Customer Service Counter on Level 1 or 2, between 22 August and 13 September 2008. The first 1,500 shoppers to register will receive a free lantern and a goodie bag on the day of the event.
From 22 August to 14 September, shoppers who spend a minimum of $150 (maximum of 3 combined same-day receipts) at any VivoCity outlet will receive a box of Jasmine Yin Hao Tea (100g) from Wang San Yang Tea Pavilion. This promotion is for the first 1,000 shoppers and is limited to 1 box of tea per shopper per day and on a first-come, first-served basis. Redemption can be made at the Customer Service Counter on Level 1 or 2.
Have a feast on mooncakes at participating outlets and enjoy exclusive dining privileges such as early-bird discounts and complimentary dining vouchers. (Refer to Appendix A for the list of participating outlets)
