Being There is a retrospective by Mattias Klum, who has specialized in portraying and interpreting threatened environments, species, and cultures for nearly 25 years. Sharing Klum’s passion for nature and concern for the environment, the exhibit features a dozen of his best known photographs to date, many of them previously published on the covers of National Geographic Magazine.
In Being There, Mattias Klum takes us around the world on assignment, as he documents meerkats in the Kalahari Desert, Asiatic lions in India, Wai-Wai Indians in Guyana, and king cobras in Southeast Asia. The Being There photography exhibition is accompanied by a book and DVD, both of which, together with prints of the photographs exhibited, are available for sale.
