Singapore, October 2017 – When witches go riding and black cats are seen, the moon laughs and whispers ‘tis near Halloween… at VivoCity! This year, VivoCity Kids Club will celebrate Halloween with shoppers with fun games and contests to chase the dark clouds away!

On 28^th October 2017, VivoCity’s Play Court will be transformed into a Halloween fun-ground from 1pm – 7pm with lots of game stations, goodies giveaway, contests and interactive play for our Kids Club members. From fun selfie corners to creative workshops, a Junior Ghostbuster Challenge and even a Halloween Costume Contest for the little ones, members can look forward to a spectacular Halloween Party!

“Since we announced our very first Halloween Costume Contest, we’ve been overwhelmed by the enthusiastic enquiries and registrations from excited parents and their little ones. This affirms our observation that Halloween is no longer just a celebration in Western cultures but has been adopted into the Singaporean way of life,” says Gwen Au, Vice President for Marketing Communications, Mapletree Commercial Property Management. “For our first Halloween celebration with our Kids Club members, we’ve pulled out all the stops to go ahead with plans for a day of excitement and fun through interactive play, games and non-stop entertainment. Not only can they participate in our Halloween costume contest to win prizes and shopping vouchers worth more than $800, there will also be free popcorn and candy floss, appearances from our “Scare Squad” led by Count Drac’O’La and his cast of Halloween costume talents to interact and take photos with our shoppers. Our amazing ‘Red-Devil’ Bubble Girl will make her return to VivoCity with another enthralling bubble performance and we’ll even have roving balloon sculptors with lots of gifts and candies for all!”

The party starts at 1pm and the first 300 members to arrive at the event will also receive a Jack-O-Lantern pumpkin carrier to store their winning haul. Not yet a member? Just register yourself for a free 1-year membership on the day of the event to participate in all the fun games and activities.

Halloween Costume Contest
We are hunting for all little monsters out there to pre-register for our Halloween Costume Contest. Dress up in your scariest best this Halloween for a chance to be 1 of our 30 finalists to show off your creative pieces on stage and impress the judges!

Pre-registration will close on 26 October 2017 or to the first 200 members aged 3 to 6 years old, whichever is earlier.

Winners of this contest will receive:

1st Prize : $100 Mapletree vouchers + Prizes worth $250

2nd Prize : $80 Mapletree vouchers + Prizes worth $200

3rd Prize : $50 Mapletree vouchers + Prizes worth $150

Junior Ghostbusters Challenge
Test your courage and ghost-busting skills at our fun game stations and become a certified Junior Ghostbuster when you successfully complete all missions. Mission cards will be distributed at the registration counter on the day of the event. Exchange the completed mission card for a personalized Junior Ghostbuster certificate!

Fun Activities and Roving Entertainers
Enjoy hands-on fun at our Halloween-themed activity stations where you can make your own Halloween hats, get your faces painted and pose for your own Halloween caricature. Be treated with free popcorn and candy floss and watch the bubble and balloon artists whip up Halloween magic for the little ones. Don’t forget to say “Cheese” at our “Spooktacular” photo corners set up around the Play Court and bring home a memorable photo print-out!
