VIVOCITY LAUNCHES NEW B1 EXTENSION

Highlights at the new extension include Singapore’s first New Era store, new adidas Originals and L.E. Underground concept stores, as well as the first FILA store in town to house FILA, FILA FUSION and FILA KIDS collections under one roof.

Singapore, 27 JUNE 2018 – Offering a stimulating blend of retail experiences, VivoCity is set to excite shoppers with a plethora of fashionable lifestyle choices at the new B1 extension. Spanning 3,000 square metres, the new extension houses ten brands across fashion, athleisure and lifestyle categories, providing shoppers with an enhanced shopping experience at VivoCity.

To facilitate access to the new retail extension and ease general traffic circulation from HarbourFront MRT station into the mall, VivoCity also announced the opening of a new escalator lobby, Lobby R, with its Basement 2 lobby situated right next to Kopitiam. The new escalator lobby rides up through the new retail extension at B1 and into Tangs on Level 1.

“In keeping the retail experience at VivoCity refreshed, we have launched a new extension at Basement 1, expanding the retail offerings in the mall to better cater to the evolving needs of our shoppers. The new extension will allow shoppers to discover new retail concepts and expanded fashion and lifestyle collections, well-suited to fit their every need,” says Gwen Au, Vice President for Marketing Communications, Mapletree Commercial Property Management. “Together with the official launch of the new retail extension, VivoCity has prepared a series of events and activities in the months of July and August. From a mall-wide social awareness collaboration with Soles4Souls to a host of special rewards and promotions awaiting shoppers at B1, there are a myriad of reasons to visit the new extension at VivoCity.”

Store Highlights
A first in Singapore, FILA’s new store at VivoCity houses three concepts –  FILA, FILA KIDS, and FILA FUSION under the same roof. Fans can choose from a suite of performance, sport couture and lifestyle collections to fulfil their different sporting needs.

Just as good things come in pairs, adidas has unveiled its stadium concept store alongside the adidas Originals flagship store at the new B1 extension. The stadium concept features their performance wear, while adidas Originals presents street style enthusiasts with their dose of the latest street fashion trends. To spoil fans with their extensive offerings, both stores will feature monthly product launches, a comprehensive range of footwear, as well as expanded choices for children’s wear and women’s apparel.

Another first would be Singapore’s first New Era flagship store that debuted at VivoCity to the joy of fans. The brand is synonymous with an exclusive range of caps and headwear from well-known heritage sports, lifestyle, film, comics and music brands.

Sitting at over 400 square metres, the latest Nike store at VivoCity showcases a fuller range of children’s wear, and a section dedicated to their basketball shoes.

Sneaker lovers rejoice! L.E. Underground offers a wide-ranging collection of sneakers from everybody’s favourite brands, including a special section for limited-edition models, where some are available exclusively at the VivoCity store.

With the World Cup fever in full swing, football fans can get in on the excitement with customisable soccer jerseys at Weston Corp. The store, which is also the biggest to date, features the widest range of football jerseys in Asia, providing fans with a fulfilling shopping experience.

Xiaomi fans can experience the latest products at the MI store, with personalised demonstrations from their specialists, while eyewear enthusiasts will be spoilt for choice at Spectacle Hut with their extensive range of designer eyewear.

Last but not least, one can also browse through a wide selection of books, stationery and a dedicated snacks section at the Popular bookstore at the new extension.

Launch Activities: Soles4Souls Partnership and Promotions
To celebrate the launch of the new extension, VivoCity is enticing shoppers with targeted rewards, fun on-site events and a social awareness campaign running from 12 July onwards.

In partnership with international non-profit social enterprise Soles4Souls, VivoCity is rallying shoppers to be a part of its shoe donation drive to ramp up awareness for a good cause. Join VivoCity and Soles4Souls in stomping out poverty and creating sustainable jobs through the distribution of shoes around the world to people in need.

Over a month-long period starting from 12 July, shoppers can choose to donate their new or gently-worn shoes at designated collection points within VivoCity, or head over to participating stores to enjoy an exclusive offer upon donating their shoes. Stay tuned for more details to follow.

In addition to the exciting new retail offerings and in-store promotions to celebrate the launch, shoppers have more reasons to indulge in retail conquests at the new B1 with special shopping rewards and activities prepared.

From 12 July – 22 July, shoppers can look forward to trying their hands at UFO-catcher machines that will be placed at the new retail extension for a chance to win attractive prizes! Those who visit the new extension can also participate in interactive games throughout the day hosted by VivoCity’s roving game host, presenting them with opportunities to win gifts and shopping vouchers from the tenants at VivoCity.

And because shopping should never be limited only to the weekends, the new tenants at B1 have prepared special weekday evening shopping offers with discounts up to 20% off in-store collections. The evening “Active Hours” promotion is happening from 12 July – 10 August, 5pm onwards on weekdays, giving shoppers another great reason to indulge in an after-hours shopping spree!

Adding on to the cheer, shoppers who spend a minimum of $100* in three same-day receipts from any new B1 store between 12 July – 12 August will be eligible to redeem a $10 Mapletree for another round of retail therapy!
